You have an education now and can see the futility of little men pretending to be important. There is no future in it. Use your mind and act on what you know. If you delete yourself of all responsibilities in the Cong some other ignorant zealot will step in. Don't let them flatter you, janitors do that work. The pressure will pass when they see that you are unwilling. You have a brain in use now! Congrats on not wasting time or gas anymore.

Life is changing for me: no pioneering, got a job!
by Skepsis ina month ago i decided to register in this board.
i had decided to step down pioneering but was frightened about the consequences.
i had finished my university degree some months before (despite disaproval from brothers in my congregation) and i had to choose: continue pioneering and working in jobs with no future or starting a career, working full-time.. i was thinking to postpone the decisiton but... i was fed up with preaching.

My Dad wants to study with me

the other day my dad told me that i was old enough to make a decision, and was wondering why i wasn't ready (assembly is in a few weeks) so i told him calmly that i have many doubts and if i were to get baptized it has to be 100 percent my idea.
he was a little annoyed by this, and now wants to study the "is there a creator that cares about you" book (which is complete bs) with me.

no of the things i encountered for the first few years was really faith shattering, they simply just made me pause and think.
after a short while, i would file those issues in the back of my brain files and move forward.. .

We were inviting demons into the house! We should get rid of it now! My parents were just learning and my mom took it to heart. My dad was/is skeptical to this day. At 10 years old I didn't know what to think. I liked the poster though. How was if for you when it came to images that Uber dubs call "demonized"? What did they discourage you from having and enjoying?
